A New Dallas Wine Trail!

There's a new trail in town...

Just in time for Texas Independence Day (Monday the 2nd - mark your calendar), my special report for D Magazine's SideDish has all the details on a brand new Dallas wine trail!

Read on for more info on a trio of boutique wineries right here in our own back yard, as well as a preview of new art from the Texas Department of Agriculture's Go Texan Wine program.  What better way to celebrate this very Texan holiday than by enjoying a glass of our state's finest?  Cheers!   - C&S

speaking of wine and the fact that I drink it while In Texas makes this comment a perfect fit...I was in my local Kroger, after leaving the produce section disappointed that the yellow squash they were offering me was totally inadequate (letter to the manager to follow current commenting) I went to get some milk and the half-gallon organic skim variety I usually drink was nothing but a bare shelf...grrrr....so now I have to think of something else to put on my cereal, so I head to the wine isle. (just changed my mind about the letter, I dont have time for that right now) As I am trying to decide the perfect grape combination to go with Fiber One honey clusters I see in the corner of my eye a sign that says $3 wine....you heard me....and since the recession gives me free reign to be cheap without being questioned I quickly hoarded as many bottles as my arms could carry and fled back to my buggy, ya know, the one that didnt have squash or milk in it *eye roll* sorry, I am a little bitter (reconsiders letter)...wasnt that a great deal? It's Bay Bridge...I havent tried it yet, so it could taste like monkey spit in which case I will just use it as host/ess gifts in the future. Also, so that I dont leave you all with a cliff hanger, Enotria Muscato goes best with the honey clusters....thats all for now....I will keep you updated on the wine find...
