Do your eating habits change as the weather warms up?

Traditional thinking goes that we're more likely to munch a salad or sip cold, refreshing drinks when the temp begins to climb upward in the spring ... but in all honesty, I'm up for a steaming bowl of oatmeal or a big, bold Cabernet even if it's 100+ outside.  Really.

So, how 'bout you?  Does your eating and cooking change this time of year?  If so, how?  If not, why not?  I'm curious!

I'm a little (weird) like you I guess. I'll eat hot food when it's hot and cold when it's cold. I do try to eat somewhat seasonally, but I can't keep track of everything all the time either. When I was in Japan I really wanted to try cold soba, they thought we were nuts for ordering it cold during February but brought it out anyways and it was freaking delicious (even better than I remember from Tei An). My normal day to day eating doesn't change much but some of the highlights/treats might I suppose.

I'm with you on the red wine. But I also eat frozen fruit year-round (daily)...even on those days when I'm mulling wine! But you know me and my strange eating habits :)

I tend to eat less in the Winter and more in the Summer. There is something about hot weather that makes me go burger crazy. It must be the smell of the grill and refreshing cold beers. Give me sun and bring me cheeseburgers!

I'm not really a seasonal eater, but my wife is, particulaly when it comes to red and white wine. From May through September, she rarely wants to drink anything but white. As for me, I'm with Lisa. I enjoy a nice, crisp white, but I really prefer red any time of the year!

Gin & tonic! Lemonade! Limoncello lemonade!

Summer food is not that different for me, since I'm always watching what I eat, but summer seems to call for something cool and refreshing in the beverage department.
